Most Famous Flyovers in The World

Transport plays an important role in the development of a country. Flyover means a bridge-like part of a road by the upper level of a crossing of two highways at different levels. The Expressways, Bridges, Tunnels, Cloverleaf, and Flyovers have make headway of the world more advance in nature. Flyovers are not only the superstars of the engineering world. They influence the development of cultures, environments and lives in more ways than we can count. Its structure also shapes our lives, aiding commerce, social life and urban development. I have compiled a list of what I think are some of the biggest and best flyovers in the world.


Flyover in Shanghai, China
Shanghai is the largest city of china and the world. It has a wide and heavy network of road transport which connects all the major cities with each other. It is located in eastern China. Shanghai has a rich collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles. Shanghai has one of the best flyovers in puxi, Nanbei Elevated Road at Yanan Middle Road.

Flyover in Chicago, Illinois
It is the largest city in Illinois. Over 2.8 million people reside in the city of Chicago. Chicago has the largest population in the Midwest. The city is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Lake’. The Chicago is 108th most expensive city in world. The Circle Interchange is an expressway interchange near downtown Chicago. It is the junction between the Dan Ryan, Eisenhower and Kennedy expressways. It is also called the Spaghetti Bowl. . It was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s, at the same time as the construction of the Kennedy Expressway.

Dallas is third largest city in Taxas and the ninth largest in the USA. Dallas developed a strong industrial and financial sector, and a major inland port. Flyovers in Dallas are very helpful to reduce the surging traffic pressure on its boring road. The Central Express is also called the High Five Interchanges and currently one of the few 5-level interchange in Dallas and is one of the largest freeway interchanges in the USA. The $261 millions project began in 2002 and was completed in December 2005.

Florida is the largest city of the USA and and has heavy network of road transport which connects all the major cities with each other. It was admitted as the 27th state on 3 March 1845. Flyovers in Florida are very helpful to reduce the surging traffic pressure on its boring road. Miami highway pass has two colors black and white. It’s used in 1956 and in1980s. At present, there are a few rare colored ones still in place.

Hebbal flyover is one of the worst flyover in India, has a signal on it, first of its kind in the world..

Los Angeles is the major city of California and is both flat and hilly. The highest point in the city is 5,080 ft.It is located in the northeastern end of the San Fernando Valley. Los Angeles is subject to earthquakes due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Flyovers in Los Angels are very helpful to reduce the surging traffic pressure on its boring road.
